Norma Kathaleen Cipolla

Our precious mom, Norma K.Cipolla, 85, passed away suddenly on January 28th, 2025 at her home that she shared with her son Robert, in Palm Coast, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Cipolla, 79. Norma, who was Nana to many, was born March 11, 1939 to parents, Joseph and Sophie (pysz) (RN) Muccino of Warren, Rhode Island. She had just lost her sister, Urbana Bucolo (RN), 88, of Bristol, Rhode Island. Banie was put to rest on the same date that Nana passed. The whole original Muccino family is now reunited in eternity. Norma (Nana) is survived by her niece Mary Bucolo and nephews, Mark Bucolo and Dr. Paul Bucolo (Stacy). Also survived by her three children, Jacqueline Roy-Kunkel (Alan), Robert J. Roy, and Charles B. Roy (Melissa), one grandson Scott Roy, and two granddaughters Kimberly A. Kunkel, and Julie M. Kunkel-Petruzzella (TC) and her smart little great grandson Malakai J. Petruzzella. Some of the things she wanted to impart to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was her love of Books, and her passion to always help others (Generosity). She actually succeeded with this wish and got to see all her loved ones complete college when she never got the chance, and have similar passions to always help others. Nana worked her whole life in the medical world completing her training at Rhode Island Hospital after graduating in 1957 from Warren High School. She married Victor Roy and moved to Virginia where she spent years as a phlebotomist/Lab Tech at private Labs and Sibley and Arlington Hospitals. After retirement to Florida she became an avid bridge player. Her hobbies included playing cards with friends, a love of cats and wildlife, looking at new cars for fun, beach time and reading almost every book in the library. She had a circle of great friends she spent time with every week, when she was diagnosed with stomach and colon cancer at age 82, she bravely went through invasive surgery which bought her extra time to get to spend with family which was her life. We all greatly miss her beautiful love for life, her smile, her sense of humor and laid back attitude. But, because of her acceptance of Jesus in her heart at the end of her life we have the hope and promise to see her again.
