Joan Rebecca Adams

June 6, 1932 - March 14, 2022

Joan Rebecca Adams, 89 of Palm Coast, FL and Cherry Hill, NJ passed peacefully on March 14, 2022, with her family and devoted husband Al by her side. Joan was the daughter of Tom and Rita (nee. Trainor) McCann. She was born in their house in the Cramer Hill section of Camden, NJ on June 6, 1932. She had a wonderful childhood growing up in an Irish Catholic home with her 3 sisters, Dolores, Isabell and Rita. Like her mother, Joan always welcomed family and friends. She would often make elaborate homemade meals including her unique salad. Her deserts made from scratch- especially the “Blue Boy”, were always a welcomed treat. Joan graduated from Camden Catholic High School. It was during this time when she met the love of her life, Al Adams. They were blessed with a marriage made in heaven for almost 70 years, and together they proudly raised 4 incredible sons. Not only was Joan a wonderful homemaker, but she also found time to work along her husband Al and sons in the family business that Al started, Casino Limousine Service. She also worked with her sister Rita and became a travel advisor. This enabled her family to take advantage of vacationing in many memorable and exotic locations in the US and abroad. Joan loved to paint. Her beautiful works of art are prominently displayed in her families' homes. In her later years, Joan learned how to swim. She persisted and in her late 70’s and early 80’s became the water aerobics instructor at her community pool. Joan always loved spending time with her family…visiting, enjoying home cooked meals and an occasional cocktail. Joan is survived by her husband Al; her sister Isabell [Sister Mary Celestine] McCann; her 4 sons, Michael (Kathy), Rick (Mary Lou), Mark (Susan), Gregg (Claudia); as well as 12 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by numerous family and friends from around the country. A Mass dedicated to the Celebrate Joan's life will be held June 5th at the Franciscan Villas in Syracuse, NY.
