December 25, 1948 - May 2, 2022
Linda Sue Flick, 73, peacefully passed away on May 2, 2022 at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast, Florida with the love of her life by her side, after a brief and unexpected illness. Active in so many organizations, clubs, and charities, Linda cherished her time with her friends and family. And when I say friends, Linda epitomized the phrase “Strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet.” She loved her card clubs, her Twig, her sorority sisters, and especially her Red Hats. To her, a gathering of people wasn’t meant to be dull. It was a party and should be decorated as such…and she loved to decorate. You couldn’t even have pizza night without matching plates, napkins, and glasses. Although I joke when I say how much she loved to plan events for her family and friends, it was done because she loved them and truly wanted to show them how much she cared for them through making times spent together memorable. A task accomplished because as you read this, each of you will likely think back to a get together with her and remember that event fondly. Her family meant everything in the world to her. She cherished her time spent traveling the world with her husband of 52 years and embraced every second spent holding her great grandchildren, her grandchildren, children, and husband. To say that she will be missed by many would be an understatement. This life will never quite be the same without her being a part of it. She was preceded in death by her Mother Ernestine and Father Eugene, Sister Shirley, and Brother Bob. Linda is survived by her husband Mike, son Darrin (Nikki), daughter Dana (Mike), grand children Cody (Krista), Kaitlin, and Cameron, great grandchildren Cylis, Coen, and Cora, brother Bill, brother Jerry, sister in-law Peggy (Jerry), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A breast cancer survivor after “ringing the bell” only a month ago, she had a deep desire to help other women diagnosed with this disease. As such, in lieu of flowers please consider giving to the National Breast Cancer Coalition at https://www.stopbreastcancer.org or to First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Ohio at https://www.love-first.org/give/ . A memorial service will be held in the future with arrangements to follow. Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family.
