Lisa Marie Maloney, 51, of Ormond Beach, FL passed away peacefully on February 27, 2018 after a long and dignified battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born on November 10, 1966 to the late Lionel and Dolores (Smith) Maloney in The Bronx, NY. She was raised in The Bronx New York; graduating from John H. Glenn High School in Elwood, and Marymount College in Tarrytown. After college, Lisa joined the Army and as a tactical telecommunications operator working in intelligence and rose to the rank of Corporal. As a civilian, she studied to become an ultrasound technician and registered nurse, working in a VA Hospital and LSU Medical Center. Above all, she was a strong single mother that was extremely proud of her family. They were her whole universe. Lisa was the true definition of a warrior. She was a winner- always deliberate and calculating in everything that she did. She was a fiercely loyal friend. As she transitioned from agonizing pain into glorious eternity, she had made sure that her children were prepared for her physical departure from this earth. She is survived by her mother Delores; sister Val (Paul); brothers Lionel (Beverly) and Kevin; children Brittany, Xavier (Alexis), and Eric; grandson Rashawn; and ex-husband Eric Scott. She will also be dearly missed by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Lionel; grandmother Ruby; aunt Elaine; and ex-husband Carry Brown. They have all gained a another guardian angel.
