Robert Gerald Turnbow, 86, Palm Coast, passed away April 11, 2018 at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice. He was born May 28, 1931 in Palouse, WA, son of the late Blane and Rose Turnbow. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict. After his service in the Navy, Robert attended and graduated from WSC with a bachelors degree in radio, TV, and speech. He worked in this industry in Yakima, WA. After his career in TV he embarked on another career, serving as a slot manager at casinos in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and Monte Carlo. He shared a love of theater with his wife Bonnie. He was also an avid golfer, world traveler, and enjoyed many different languages. He was so loved and will be greatly missed by so many friends and relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Wallace, Stanley, Bill, and a sister, Catherine. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Palm Coast; and a brother, Mike Turnbow. Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday April 22, 2018 at Hammock Community Church, 5299 N Ocean Shore Blvd, Palm Coast, FL 32137, with Rev. Dr. William Duke officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined and those wishing may make a contribution in his memory to Hammock Community Church or to Stuart F. Meyer Hospice, 150 Memorial Medical Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164 Arrangements are under the care of Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service.
