January 10, 1962 - December 24, 2016
Roosevelt D. Ramsubhag, 54, passed away on December 24, 2016. Roosevelt “Rosie” was an avid musician who played the drums, guitar, sang and always loved jamming with his friends when they got together. He was member of the Lake Worth High School ensemble and performed regularly with the group at venues around town. Rosie loved to fish and spent a great deal of time on his boat with several lines cast into the water. Cooking was also a favorite past time and he spent a lot time in the kitchen experimenting with his culinary creations. He especially enjoyed Trinidadian food and would frequently call his mom “Moon” for tips for proper execution of the dish he was preparing. He served in the United State Navy and was stationed in the Persian Gulf during the Iran/Iraq conflict. Roosevelt was loved by everyone who was fortunate to meet and get to know him. He helped many friends. When they encountered difficult times, he and Judy provided a place to stay, love, moral, and financial support. Friendships were important to him and he sometimes placed the needs of others before his own. Rosie loved hard, often to his own detriment but there are those who loved him even more and we mourn his loss. Rosie, our hearts are broken by your loss brother. Mother don’t cry, Rosie will be alright as he is now in the embrace our Father in Heaven. “His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Psalms 30:5 Rosie was preceded in death by his father Donald Basant Ramsubhag, grandmother, Beatrice Ramsubhag, and nephew Christopher Jagdis Maharaj Rosie is survived by his mother Paidaie “Moon” Maharaj W.P.B., brothers; Carlson Ramsubhag (spouse Malcolm Jones) Jax, Dindial Maharaj, WPB , former wife Judy Lisenby, Palm Coast, stepchildren Darryn (Dawn) Lisenby Palm Coast, Jennifer (Dan) Gibbons of VA, step-grandchildren Jack & Jude Lisenby, Niece Camilia Marisa Hamid (Jose), nephew Stephen Dave Maharaj (Viktoria), great uncle of Daniel and Anastasia Maharaj, Antony & Noah Naraine and a host of friends and family members throughout the world.
