I am so sorry to have learned of Keith's passing. I met Keith when I was an intern at WJBK - he was a technical director (TD) in the control room during the day. He was kind and patient and was generous with his time. When the control room was not being used - I would bring my scripts- marked with my notes- and pretend to call a newscast ...no tapes, or graphics, no audio or cameras. Just a very nervous young lady - who was trying to learn to do the most nerve-wracking job at the station, directing - and a very nice engineer. Keith was always willing to punch through a pretend show with me - he shared what he knew of life in the hot seat. Keith was serious about his job - not a jokester, he was sincere, steady and kind. I would not have learned all I did about tv directing if it weren't for Keith's kindness.
I was glad to have connected with him on FB, after all these years (nearly 30 years) - still the same, kind and sincere. As an early member of our FB WJBK-TV2 Alumni group - Keith kept us all up-to-date on some of the current trends in IT and what was happening with the old WJBK gang. I will miss his posting both political and technical.
I offer you - his family -- my thoughts, and prayers of peace and comfort as you mourn.
Always kind that was you - thank you, Keith.
Your friend - Cory Parr
