I met Michelle in the late 70's. We connected immediately, mostly, I think, because of our shared love of humor. I remember laughing and laughing with her til my sides ached. We also both loved Jesus. Michelle was a good friend through the years. Even tho' our politics differed, she was a true friend. Her biggest joy in life was her daughters!! I am so sorry, Lili and Emma, that you have lost your Mom. Michelle and I talked about the after-life and about Heaven. She wanted to get well and stay here of course, but she was also assured in her faith that where she was going was going to be wonderful. Lili, and Emma, in the distant future she'll be waiting for you with open arms on the other side. In the meantime, I'll bet she'll be a guardian angel to you both, rejoicing in the lives you lead. Michelle and I met while we were both waiting for our "China Babies" in 1998. We were friends ever since. There was nothing more she wanted to do than be a mother to her sweet girls. We had many fun times over the years celebrating birthdays, Chinese New Years, Gotcha Days and many more events. Michelle was so kind, selfless, accepting and a very smart and intuitive lady. I will always be thankful and appreciative of her kindness in my life. Rest easy, Michelle!

We spent many hours at the soccer field with Michelle and her girls. We enjoyed cheering together as well as spending down time visiting in each other’s homes. We shared the love of raising weiner dogs. She was always a pleasure to be around. I feel for her girls who have lost her far too soon. We will all be thinking about them.

Michelle and I met over 30 years ago, when I bought two of Peanuts babies....Sugar and Spice. We became friends and dog both provided dog sitting service for each other and what a treat that was as we never had to worry if our babies were taken care of and did they give us some adventures! We were both single working mothers with busy schedules but managed to remain friends for almost 35 years. We moved to Texas in 2010 and Michelle and the girls kept my babies for almost 2 months as I transitioned to Texas....we finally got to meet in Baton Rouge and exchange cargo. What a lifesaver they were to us in keeping our new weenies (Duke and Daisy). We stayed in touch and I as well as Michelle had discussed her coming to Texas until she got ill and just could not make the trip. I will miss Michelle as she was a truly kind, loyal and honest friend.....which is very hard to find these days. She was loved and will be missed by many.

We knew the train was coming, Michelle was standing at the station. From Blairsville we heard the rumble, and jumped into the car for a "last" visit with Michelle while she was at the station waiting to depart. But, the engine pulled in before we were able to get there, and she was gone when we arrived. It was so painful to lose Michelle.
She valued family relationships and friendship, and reached out and loved and served accordingly. We had so many good times to treasure. We miss her intensely.
But, she knew where she was going, and was so ready, and now, at the feet of Jesus she worships.
