Michelle Renee Ziegenbein's Obituary
Michelle Renee Ziegenbein, devoted mother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend, and child of God, passed away on January 18, 2022, after a difficult journey with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Throughout her illness, Michelle's sustaining comfort and courage in life and death was her hope of eternal life in Jesus. Her generosity, gratitude, grace, diligence, selflessness, and faith persisted to the end. With a keen mind, sharp attention to detail, love for travel and nature, and an indomitable sense of humor, Michelle served her clients and loved her family and friends.
As a young woman, Michelle put herself through university at UCF and obtained her CPA licensure, eventually building her own accounting firm, which she maintained for the majority of her career. However, her greatest achievement and joy was raising her two loving and supportive daughters, Lili and Emma. Michelle adopted Lili from Jiangsu Province, China, in 1998, and Emma from Hunan Province, China, in 2002. Michelle wrote, "What a wonderful, spectacular thing it is to be a mother. It is a gift that God has given me: one of His most generous."
Michelle was preceded in death by her mother, June Ziegenbein. She is survived by her daughters, Lili and Emma Ziegenbein; her father, Vincent Ziegenbein; her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Janice Ziegenbein; her sister, Polly Welch; her loving nephews and nieces; and friends who were as family to her.
A private service is being held by the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michelle's name to Edgewood Children’s Ranch.
