My first encounter with Dick was when we (my late husband and I) came down from up north to stay for a week in our new home at CCS. My Aunt Ruth asked if we would check on her home, which was next to Dick's. We unlocked the door and stepped inside and soon, we heard "Come out here with your hands up". We looked out the door and there stood Dick with a shotgun ready to defend Ruth's house. After we explained who we were, everything was okay!. I was involved in the variety shows put on here at the park for many years. Dick was in many of them either as Uncle Sam, with his motorcycle, or playing a musical instrument. He also went to all the dances held at the park and danced with all the widows!! My second husband, Don, and I bought Ruth's house when she moved back up north, and we became neighbors of Dick's. He was a great neighbor and friend and we will miss him. Don & Kay Pagano
