We are so sorry to hear about the passing of "Tricky Dick". Him and Dorothy were close friends with my Grandparent June and Paul Payne. We have so many memories clamming with our toes, fishing, shrimping and participating in bike week! He was one of a kind and will truly be missed. Grandma is still with us in Dayton and she and the rest of our family send our deepest condolences.

Dickie was one of a kind. It was always good to spend time with him when I visited my family in Florida. He will be sadly missed but always remembered. My deepest sympathy to his family.
Dick was one of those people that everyone just plain liked. He was the definition of a gentleman. I was privileged to know him and will certainly miss him, as will so many others. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family.
I met Dick a few times during my two visits with the veteran motorcycling fraternity in Daytona Beach. Nevertheless he left me a strong and indelible impression of friendship, warmth, and good humour and will doubtless be badly missed by his family and many friends. I send them my condolences. My first encounter with Dick was when we (my late husband and I) came down from up north to stay for a week in our new home at CCS. My Aunt Ruth asked if we would check on her home, which was next to Dick's. We unlocked the door and stepped inside and soon, we heard "Come out here with your hands up". We looked out the door and there stood Dick with a shotgun ready to defend Ruth's house. After we explained who we were, everything was okay!. I was involved in the variety shows put on here at the park for many years. Dick was in many of them either as Uncle Sam, with his motorcycle, or playing a musical instrument. He also went to all the dances held at the park and danced with all the widows!! My second husband, Don, and I bought Ruth's house when she moved back up north, and we became neighbors of Dick's. I used to have a lot of fun with Dick riding motorcycles with him and my deceased husband Ben Mack. My most sincere condolences go out to his family. He was one terrific man and will be missed by many.
