Alan Gregory Esposito's Obituary
Alan Gregory Esposito,74, passed away unexpectedly on March 3, 2025 in Palm Coast, FL. He was born on March 29,1950 in Rahway, NJ to Daniel and Rose (nee Brustell) Esposito.
Alan dedicated much of his life to public service, working for Edison Township for 25 years and the City of St. Augustine for eight years before retiring. Alan also served in the U.S. Navy. He was a Rutgers graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Public Service.
In 1971, Alan married his first great love, Elaine. In 1978, they welcomed their first child Dominic and a second son, Anthony, in 1983. They lived together until Elaine’s passing in 2000. Alan was a loving family, always putting his family first. Whether it was football, baseball, martial arts, scouts and even music, he always supported his children, what they needed to succeed. Alan was a huge fan of music, from SRV to Willie Nelson to Prince. Music was a big part of his life.
Alan was an avid softball player from his youth all the way into his late 60’s. Alongside his son Anthony, he began to coach his grandchildren in baseball and softball. He was a big supporter of his grandchildren's sports endeavors and even had the pleasure of witnessing one his granddaughters win a National title in softball earlier this year.
Alan is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Gallagher, two sons, Dominic and Anthony; two Daughter in-laws Bridget and Jessica; two step daughters Olivia and Maddy; and his nine grandchildren; Jadelise, Addison, Michael, Bryce, Elaina, William, Layla, Phoenix and Adrian. Alan was predeceased by his first wife, Elaine Esposito, his mother; Rosemarie and his beloved Boston Terrier, Bubba.
No formal public services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers and gifts, a GoFundMe has been set up for donations to support his grandchildren's sport teams and can be found here at: https://gofund.me/3f973fb0 Alan might not be with us anymore, but he will never miss another game now that he has the best seat in the house.
