Albert Legg
Albert Legg of Daytona Beach, FL was born on August 3, 1919 in Reading, MA to the late Walter and Lillian Legg. He passed away on September 7, 2013 at his home at the age of 94 years, joining his loving wife Joyce who passed away on August 27, 2013.
Mr. Legg graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology is Boston, MA in 1942, and went to work for Fellows Gear Shaper in Springfield, VT, where he was in charge of the Research Lab until his retirement in 1985 after 43 years of dedicated service. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Sea Bee on Quam. Albert built his home on Summit Ave. in Springfield, VT. in 1950, and he and his family resided there until his relocation to Florida in 1988. He was a very enthusiastic member on the Board of the Sandcastle Condominium for several years after becoming an owner in 1988.
In addition to his wife, Albert is preceded in death by his brother Robert in 1975.
He is survived by his children; Cynthia Legg of West Pawlet, VT. and Roger Legg of Daytona Beach, FL.
At the family’s request, no services will be conducted.
All arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service, Port Orange, FL.
