Angela E Moreau's Obituary
Angela Eileen (Fausel) Moreau of Palm Coast, FL, passed away on September 3rd, 2023, at Advent Health Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House with her loving family by her side. As we reflect on her life, we remember a woman of strength and grace. Angela's steadfast love for her children, children-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchild, sister, nieces, and nephews was evident in her every action, making her an anchor in the lives of her family.
Born in Jamaica, NY, on July 26, 1936, to the late Dr. Everett and Leila B. Fausel, Angela was the thoughtful and tagalong younger sister to the late Frances Yeransian in a family of two daughters. After completing her studies at Big Spring High School in Big Spring, TX, Angela studied nursing at the University of Texas; however, life had a different journey in store when she met Ernest (Ernie) Moreau, a dedicated Air Force serviceman, who was her lifelong love and cherished husband, and by whom she was predeceased. Their bond was genuine and deep, leading Angela to choose a life alongside Ernie as a wife and mother.
Throughout her life, Angela wore many hats with elegance. The matriarch of a bustling household, she raised five spirited daughters, who were her pride: the late Terry Thery (Mark Pick) of Roosevelt, NJ; Ann Moreau (Bobby Maltby) of Bunnell, FL; Nancy Moreau of Nashua, NH; Michelle Moreau of Palm Coast, FL; and Jeanette Moreau (Cheryl Wilson) of North Chelmsford, MA. Among her most joyous moments were those spent with her grandchildren: Marissa Evigas, Melissa Maltby Klag, Ryan Maltby, Alexis Deleon, Ashanti Wilson-Moreau, and Kiema Wilson-Moreau, and her great-grandson, Neko Singleton. After living in many areas of the country, Angela and Ernie settled in Palm Coast, FL in the early 1990s, drawn to its warm weather and tranquil ambiance. Angela quickly became an active part of the local community. When not spending time with Ernie and her friends, she contributed her talents as a treasurer to the Palm Coast Choral Arts Society and found camaraderie in bowling leagues at Palm Coast Lanes. Deeply spiritual, Angela was also an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, where she enjoyed many years singing in the choir. While she passionately pursued these activities for many years, the pace of her involvement gradually waned in recent times, allowing her quieter moments in the embrace of family.
Angela's presence, characterized by quiet wisdom, love, and resilience, will be deeply missed. She was a pillar of stability and remains a symbol of enduring love to her family and friends.
A funeral service in Angela’s honor will be held on Friday, September 8th, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 5400 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, FL. An hour of visitation at 10:00am will precede the service at the church when the family will be happy to greet guests. Private burial, where she will be interred alongside her husband Ernie, will occur at a later date.
