Arvice Farquharson, 87, of Jamaica, West Indies, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, in Palm Coast, Florida.
Born on October 10, 1937, in Jamaica to Emanuel Smith, and Inez Beckford Smith. Arvice lived a long and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and resilience. She carried the vibrant spirit of the West Indies with her wherever she went, touching countless lives with her wisdom, kindness, and quiet strength.
A devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured friend, Arvice will be remembered for her warm heart, steady presence, and the unwavering love she offered to all who knew her. Her legacy continues through the lives she so deeply impacted, Our mom was the best cook ever, she bought the best of everything. Our dad made sure she was well taken care of.
She leaves to cherish her memory:

Her children: Mutilyn Letts, Yvonne Seay, and Derrick Farquharson
Her grandchildren: Marcel VanOmmeren, Randall Tolbert Jr., Cherill Farquharson, and Sidney Seay
Her great-grandchildren: Nouriah Scott, Niaham Scott, Maya VanOmmeren, and Zoe VanOmmeren
Her sister: Adassa Smith
Her brothers: Lamont Laing, James Laing, and Berty Laing
A host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Her favorite song was “One Day at a Time,” a fitting reflection of how she lived—with grace, patience, and faith.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service.
