Barbara Chochev's Obituary
Barbara Chochev passed away peacefully on May 24th, 2025, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Barbara lived a full and vibrant life. Born on July 10th, 1944 (Warsaw, Poland) during World War II, she immigrated to the US with the goal of building a better future for her children. She worked at AT&T for 25 years, and there after retiring to Palm Coast, she loved tending her garden, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She was truly a remarkable woman – strong, resilient, and incredibly generous. We'll all cherish the memories of her kindness and support.
For those who knew her, you'll remember her warm smile and her welcoming spirit. She leaves behind a large and loving family: her children Marzena (and her kids Brian, Kevin, and Melissa), Gregory (and his kids Shawn, Patrick, Amanda, and Adrian), and Andrew (his children Olivia and Jason). She's also survived by her sister Zofia, brothers Antoni and Andrzej, and sister Danuta and their families. She was predeceased by her brothers Jurek and Wojtek, and her parents, Marian and Kazimiera.
To celebrate Barbara's life, we are having a memorial service at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast on June 9th. The service begins at 10am, followed by the funeral mass at 11am. Afterwards, we'll be interring her ashes at San Lorenzo Catholic Cemetery in St. Augustine. We would love for you to join us – please come and share your memories of Barbara.
The family requests all flower arrangements to be sent directly to the church.
Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.
