In Loving Memory of My Aunt
Today, we celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who lived a full and meaningful 90 years. Born in Jamaica, West Indies, she ventured to the United States at a young age, where she built a beautiful life while never forgetting her roots.
Whenever she returned to Jamaica, she never came empty-handed. Her visits were filled with warmth, laughter, and thoughtful gifts for family and friends. But the greatest gift she gave was her love, encouragement, and unwavering belief in those around her.
I will always remember how she encouraged me to strive for more and to become the best version of myself. Her words of wisdom and quiet confidence left a lasting impression on my life.
Despite the miles between us, we remained in touch over the years. She never allowed distance to weaken the bonds of family, and her love was always felt.
She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a caring aunt who placed her family at the center of her life. She possessed an indomitable spirit—strong, resilient, and graceful in the face of life’s challenges. Her faith, kindness, and generosity touched countless lives, and her legacy will continue through the many people she loved and inspired.
Although our hearts are heavy with her passing, we are grateful for the blessing of having known and loved her. We take comfort in the memories she leaves behind and in the example of a life lived with compassion, strength, and dignity.
Rest peacefully, Aunt. Your love, your encouragement, and your beautiful spirit will remain with us always. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
