Barbara M. Turco's Obituary
Barbara Turco, 85, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on March 23rd, 2021 after a brief illness. Barbara was born and lived most of her life in Hudson, NY until she moved to Palm Coast, Florida in 2016. Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially those hot summer days when everyone spent weekends at her pool. She loved playing video games with all the grandchildren and handily beat them most of the time. Barbara especially loved to cook for everyone trying out new recipes that she collected and shared. She so looked forward to her annual tradition of opening gifts (one by one by one....) on Christmas Eve surrounded by the entire family. She enjoyed playing cards and faithfully watching "her shows" on TV. Barbara worked for the Social Security Administration in customer service until her retirement in 1990.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother Ruth (Gorsline) Goff and father William Goff; also preceded by her beloved Aunt Irene Burton and Uncle Andy Burton.
Barbara is survived by her son David Turco of Palm Coast and his wife Donna; daughter Penny Akin of Ormond Beach and her husband Glen along with 5 grandchildren Dacia (Turco) Bozman, Jennifer Akin, David T. Turco, Christine (Akin) Brandwood, Elizabeth (Akin) Rae. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements entrusted to Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service located in Marvin's Garden Business Center, 4601 E Moody Blvd G-7, Bunnell, FL 32110 .
