Barbara Arline Wiltfong's Obituary
Barbara Wiltfong had a love for life and would do anything for her family. On Saturday, July 17, 2021, in Palm Coast, Florida, she was called home. Finally at peace, and pain-free.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Wiltfong and her son, Todd Wiltfong.
She started her life in Elmhurst, Illinois. Her family moved around and ended up in Wedron, Illinois. She met her now, late spouse, at an army base and was married on July 2nd, 1955. They started a family shortly after marriage.
Her children remember the wonderful Christmas mornings. Regardless of finances, she always went out of her way to make it special. Making home baked cookies each year. Her love for cooking, and the family pool, made her house the place to be for all the neighborhood kids.
In 1998 she made the move to Florida. Later in life, one of her favorite activities was to sit out by her garden—surrounded by beautiful flowers—watching the squirrels run, play, and eat peanuts off her fence.
She loved all her family, especially the great-grand kids. They would visit every Sunday, and nothing made her smile bigger than a hug from one of her “littles”. Each Sunday was special. Getting together for dinners, birthdays, and holidays. She made the absolute best German potato salad and at Christmas we will all miss her cheese ball.
She is survived by three children, seven grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. All possible because two people fell in love over 65 years ago. She was loved deeply and will be missed by all that knew her well.
