Beatrice Rocha
Beatrice Rocha, 85, of Port Orange passed away Saturday, September 12. Bea, formerly of Buchanan, NY was born in Plymouth, England in May 1930, the daughter of Herbert and Elsie Everett, immigrating to the US as an infant, graduating from Hendrick Hudson HS in 1948.
Bea loved working with students as a teaching assistant in NY at Pleasantville Cottages and in Daytona Beach at Bonner Elementary. She showed great compassion and generosity to her students, the homeless and disadvantaged.
She is survived by her loving family, husband, Antonio Rocha, daughter Ivy (Kenneth) Ast, son Robert (Yong) Kinzel, stepdaughter Lynn Rocha, stepsons Tony Rocha and Mark Rocha, grandchildren Jason (Tamara) Ast, Matthew (Mary) Krueger, Kristine Kinzel, great-grandson Sawyer Krueger, sister Barbara (Frank) Behuniak, several nieces, nephews. She was a friend to many and never met a stranger.
