Bruce Roy Wingate's Obituary
Bruce Roy Wingate,62, passed away on January 4,2024. He was born on January 4,1962 in Town of Urbana, NY to the late Douglas and Arlene Wingate. He loved spending time with his daughter, Mary Ellen, watching her succeed in school and pursue wrestling as her sport of choice. He enjoyed hunting in Upstate NY with his oldest brother Randy. Not only were he and William (Billy) brothers, they were best friends and he cherished the time they had together. He was thankful to have his sisters by his side and help him through his time of need. He loved all of his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents Douglas and Arlene Wingate, wife Susan Handshuh and nephew Kevin Yinger.
He is survived by his children, Duane (Jennifer) Wingate, Steven Wingate, Mary Ellen Wingate, Brothers Randy (Bert) Wingate, William (Debbie) Wingate, and Sisters, Mary Camacho and Shawn (Mark) Stanco. He is survived by his Aunt Debbie (Mike) Thomas, Nieces, Peggy (Heath) Filkins, Tanya Yinger, Jessica Wingate, Kristina (Ryan) Pell, Ericca (Rafael) Zamora, Nephews, Benjamin (Daisy) Wingate, JC Camacho, Steven Yinger, Shawn (Zabrina) Stanco, Tyler (Regan) Stanco, Brandon Corrie and several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of His life will be held at Anchor Baptist Church, 750 N US 1, Oak Hill, FL 32759 on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2pm. A reception will follow at the church.
