Carol A. Petersen
 Carol A. Petersen, 71, of Port Orange, FL passed away on July 19, 2012. Carol was born on July 12, 1941 in Utica, NY to the late James W. and Louise Ryan nee Alibozek.
She was a graduate of the Utica Free Academy. Carol worked as a Librarian, and she moved to Port Orange in 1985, coming from Whitesboro, NY. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, she loved horses, and she enjoyed bowling. Carol also was a member of P.O.R.T.
She is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Keith B. Petersen. Additional survivors include her son, Paul S. Tarkowski and wife Michelle; her daughter, Kelly A. Flint and husband Mike, her brother, Kurt J. Ryan and wife Shirley and family, 8 grandchildren, and her 5 great grandchildren.
Additionally, Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 39 year, Stephen S. Tarkowski, and her son Martin J. Tarkowski.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 6:00 pm from Heritage Cremation and Memorial Chapel, 620 Dunlawton Avenue in Port, Orange, FL. Carol's family will receive guests from 5:30 pm until 6:00 pm. Donations may be made in memory of Carol to the St Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142, or to the charity of one's choice. All arrangements are under the care of Heritage Cremation & Memorial Chapel, Port Orange, FL.
