Carol Ann Macaulay's Obituary
Carol Ann Macauley, 88, of Palm Coast, FL passed away peacefully under hospice care on February 28, 2025. She was born on August 17, 1936 in Paterson, NJ to Robert and Emma (nee Shauger) Beggs.
She grew up in West Paterson, NJ where she met her husband Robert and raised their family for almost 4 decades. They finally retired in 1984, moving to Palm Coast, FL to enjoy their golden years. Four years later, in 1988, Robert passed away.
Throughout her life, Carol’s priority was always her immediate and extended family. Whether it was supporting her husband Robert, raising their children, or hosting as social event for the family, she always made sure you felt welcomed and loved. She really was an incredible hostess- generous and kind… and just fun to be around in general. She was very smart and certainly had a quick wit about her. A competitive side came out whenever Carol was able to enjoy playing tennis or cards.
Carol was predeceased by her parents Robert and Emma, and her beloved husband Robert. She is survived by her children; sons Robert and Drew Macauley, daughter Lynn (Louis) Sonye; her sister Beverly (Carmin “Carl”) Pagano; and her grandchildren Samantha Sonye and Melissa Witte. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends across the country.
