Daniel Sullivan's Obituary
Daniel Sullivan, 69, of Palm Coast, FL died peacefully under hospice care on Thursday April 18, 2024. He was born in the Bronx, NY on June 3, 1954 to John and Lucille (nee Lambert) Sullivan.
Danny spent his entire career working for the Long Island Railroad. After retirement, he spent 15 years living in the Midwest before moving to Palm Coast in 2021. He was proud of his sobriety, and was passionate about helping others into and through AA. Danny was very generous and charitable to those in need. For 13 years, he’d rarely be seen without his beloved dog, Cookie. She was his excuse for a nightly bowl of ice cream.
He was predeceased by his parents John and Lucille; his brother John L. Sullivan Jr.; and his sister-in-law Kathleen Sullivan.
He leaves behind his best friend and soulmate of 30 years, Diane Sullivan. He is also survived by his siblings: brothers Timothy (Ann) Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, and Martin (Crystal) Sullivan; and sister Michele (Luis) Matias and as well as his sister-in-law Geraldine Sullivan. He will also be missed dearly by many loving nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will take place Wednesday May 15, 2024 at 9:45 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church located at 210 S. Wellwood Avenue, Lindenhurst, NY 11757.
Following the Funeral Mass, the inurnment is scheduled immediately afterward (approximately 11:30am) at St. Charles Cemetery located at 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the charity of your choice in Danny’s honor. His favorites included the Wounded Warriors, Samaritan’s Purse, or St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
