David E Wager's Obituary
David E. Wager, 87, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, with
his wife and children by his side. He was born on September 2, 1937, to Alfred and Gertrude
Wager and grew up in Wallkill, New York.
David was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose kindness and gentle humor left a
lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be remembered for his generosity and
willingness to share his knowledge and skills with others.
His dedication to his trade led him to mentor apprentices before eventually owning and operating
Alres Construction Co. alongside his wife of 66 years. Even after retirement, he remained
committed to helping others, playing a key role in establishing and growing Habitat for
Humanity of Greater Newburgh, New York.
In 2005, David and his wife relocated to Palm Coast, Florida, where they embraced an active
lifestyle filled with golf, bridge games, travel, and cherished friendships.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Terry (Theresa); his children, Lisa Davis (Harold), Kris
Wager, and Matthew Wager; and his grandchildren, Steven Davis, Andrew Davis, Ashleigh
Wager, and Ella Wager.
A private memorial service will be scheduled at a future time. In lieu of flowers, donations may
