David Wilcox's Obituary
With heartfelt sorrow, we announce David Wilcox passed away on Thursday, March 19th, 2026 in Palm Coast, Florida at the age of 86. David was born on September 27, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, and is survived by his beloved wife Mary Wilcox (nee Wuellner) and children Kevin Wilcox and Cindy Lode as well as many extended family members and friends.
Throughout his life, David was known for being caring, loving, patient, hard working and intelligent. He was devoted to his family and his love for people was evident in the respectful way he treated others. He was a gentle soul that will be most remembered for his kindness and the way he made others feel. He left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
David was a Senior Vice President of Cuyahoga Savings for 40 years, and took great pride in enabling people to purchase homes, particularly those in underserved markets. He was also the author of three books. He was a fan of Cleveland sports teams. In his free time, he found joy in travelling, writing and especially sailing.
The funeral will be held at San Sebastian Catholic Church in St. Augustine. The visitation will be from 10:30am-11:00am with the service to follow from 11:00am-12:00pm. After the funeral the family is planning to have a reception at 12:45 pm at The Boathouse, all are welcome to join. The address is 160 Nix Boat Yard Road, St Augustine, Florida 32084.
