Dawn Linn Rancourt
Dawn Rancourt of Deltona, FL was born August 6, 1963 in Quincy, MA to Wayne and Sharon Crevoiserat nee Conner and passed away January 22, 2015 in Deltona, FL at the age of 51 years.
Dawn was united in marriage to Norman Rancourt on May 28, 1994. She graduated from Mattanawcook Academy, Lincoln, ME in 1981 Then attended Eastern Nazarene College, Quincy, MA, then transferred to the University of Maine at Farmington where she earned her AA degree in Psychology.
She was a member of the National Bantam Assoc., National Pinto Horse Assoc., National Waterfowl Assoc., and the Wakefield Artist Guild. Additionally, Dawn was a member of Christ Church and attended the Deland Church of the Nazarene.
She was a longtime administrator for 3 offices of Community Health and Counseling Services in ME. Dawn planned, organized, and hosted Domestic Violence Conferences and Charity Fund Raising Events in ME and NH. She ran a Therapeutic Horse Riding Program for disabled children and adults at her Bright Hope Farm in NH.
Dawn was known for her great sense of humor, a nurturing persona, infectiously friendly personality, and her unconditional love for everyone, including animals. She was a Sunday School Teacher and Church Worship Leader. Dawn was an equine competitor, artist, photographer, and gardener. She also enjoyed hunting for antiques, designing jewelry, nature, and animal care and rescue.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Norman Rancourt, parents; Wayne Sr. and Sharon Crevoiserat, a brother Wayne Crevoiserat Jr., sisters; Sionainn Woodward and Sandy McPhail, grandchildren: Sophie, Ocean, Alexandra, and Poet Rancourt.
A memorial service was held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Christ Church, 2421 Tomoka Farms Rd., Port Orange, FL 32725. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to any animal shelter or rescue.
