Deborah H. Christopher-Palmer's Obituary
Deborah Christopher-Palmer, 75, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in Palm Coast, FL. Born on September 25, 1949, in Jacksonville, FL, Debbie lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and her community.
Debbie was a devoted wife to her husband, Mark Sherman Palmer of Palm Coast. Together they shared a deep bond and many joyful memories—including their shared love of motorcycle rides, with Debbie often riding alongside Sherman on the back of his bike.
She was a loving mother to her son Roman Christopher and his finance Alexa Morgan of Englewood. Her pride and joy extended to her grandchildren: Summer Bratcher of Orlando; Miranda Nycum of Rulo, NE; and Mike Christopher of Bullhead City, AZ. Debbie also cherished her great-grandchildren Ravyn and Adalyn of Rulo, NE and found immense happiness in spending time with them. She is also remembered by her brother Mike Tucker of Palatka and her uncle Cullen Chalker of Jacksonville Beach. Numerous cousins were part of the extended family circle that brought warmth and connection throughout her life. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Melton and Melva Tucker, as well as her brothers Max and Pat Tucker.
A woman of strong faith, Debbie found renewed spiritual purpose in recent years when she returned to the Lord. Her commitment to her church family at Hammock First Baptist Church became a central part of her life. She was deeply involved in church activities and found comfort and strength through fellowship and worship. Her compassion extended beyond people to animals as well.
An avid animal lover, Debbie frequently rescued stray cats and ensured they received care through spaying or neutering at the local humane society—a quiet but impactful testament to her kind heart. Debbie’s legacy is one of love—love for God, for family, for friends, and for all creatures great and small. Her presence will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
