Debra Joyce Coston Rossi's Obituary
Debra Joyce Coston Rossi
August 25, 1955- March 25, 2023
Debbie passed away peacefully on March 25, 2023, after a lengthy illness, in Palm Coast, FL surrounded by her family and best friend.
Debbie was born on August 25, 1955, in Georgetown, FL. She was the daughter of Sammie Coston, Jr. and Janie Clemmons Coston. She was married to the late Charles Anthony Rossi, Sr for twenty-five years before his passing. Debbie lived in Deland, FL for the majority of her life and only left her home a few short weeks before her passing.
Debbie’s children include Joyce Anne Keyishian, Robert Rossi, Charles Rossi, Jr, James Rossi (Michelle), and Jodie Zimmerman (Mike). Her grandchildren are Steve, Charles III, Taylor, Olivia, Kristan, Marty and Heather. She also has 7 great grandchildren.
Her siblings include Jerry Boney, Linda Keene, Larry Keene, and Connie Ritchhart. Her step siblings include Paula Hinkel, Myrtie Cooley, David Black, and Dorothy McGowan.
Debbie’s best friend, Kris Perone, was with her throughout her illness and provided her comfort, support, rides to doctors appointments, and lunches out. Kris was Debbie’s angel, she could not have asked for a better friend.
Debbie was always up for an adventure. She loved her wild rides on the back of a motorcycle, Disney World with the grandkids, the biggest waterslide in the park, ocean waves, bingo, live bands, and dancing- especially the Chicken Dance. Her favorite character was Betty Boop.
She was one of the best cooks! Nothing made her more happy than cooking for a household of people. Not only did she love to cook, but she loved to share her cooking secrets with anyone who was interested. She graciously offered to cook for all of the holidays, graduations parties, birthdays, etc.
She spent much of her life as a homemaker but also worked many years as a home healthcare provider to the elderly and disabled. She quickly became friends with her clients.
Debbie will be deeply missed by her family.
