Dennis Patrick Harrity's Obituary
Dennis Patrick Harrity, 64, passed away on November 14, 2022, in Palm Coast, Florida. Dennis was born on November 23, 1957, to the late Richard and Glenna (Houx) Harrity in Modesto, California. He was the middle child of five and tended to prove that point on many occasions! Dennis graduated from Lincoln High School in Stockton, California. Dennis loved sports; he was very competitive and did especially well in baseball and tennis. He also loved skiing, fishing, camping, and golfing with his brothers and friends. Just like his brothers, Dennis also enjoyed cooking and grilling for friends and family. All who knew him would attest to his magnetic personality, which also served him well in his notable career as an executive in food services distribution.
Dennis and his wife Cheryl Ann, whom he married on December 28, 2001, settled in Palm Coast, Florida. Their careers took them to many different cities in the U.S. But Dennis loved the beach and finally found the beach community he loved, so this was the perfect home to retire.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Ann (Kent); daughter, Melissa (Boyd); son, Taylor; sister, Karen Girardi (husband, Gary); brothers, Tim (wife, Lynnette); Ross (wife, Maria), and Terry (wife, Maureen); and brothers-in-law, George Kent (wife, Debbie) and Tommy Kent (Julie); and a host of extended family of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends in many cities.
Dennis lived life to the fullest. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for friends, family, and community and made everyone who knew him laugh, cry, and clap at all the stories he shared. Our family is thankful to know that Dennis is at peace.
A memorial Mass will be held at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, Flagler Beach, FL on Saturday, December 3rd, at 10 a.m.
