Dennis Anthony Jones' Obituary
Dennis Anthony Jones, 59, passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2024, at his home in Palm Coast, Florida. He was born on March 4, 1965, in Erie, Pennsylvania, son of Sandra L. Jones (DeGeorge) and the late Warren R. Jones, Sr. He graduated from Iroquois High School in 1983, where he wrestled and built lasting friendships.
Dennis's career was a success story in the automotive industry. He started as a salesman, earning Top Salesperson honors repeatedly, and worked his way up to Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, and District Sales Manager at several dealerships. Some of the dealerships included Gary Miller's (Erie, PA), Rugala-Stanton (Ashtabula, OH), and Mindy Miller (Flagler Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Flagler, FL). Dennis also ventured into entrepreneurship, owning Beachside Scooter & Cycle World and partnering in G. & J. Automotive.
Beyond work, Dennis was passionate about boats, cars, and motorcycles. He spent countless moments with family and friends on his boats, "Tension" and his Donzi. He was a jack-of-all-trades, always ready to tackle any project. Dennis cherished events like The Roar on the Shore (Erie, PA), Daytona Bike Week, Sturgis, Biketoberfest, and Poker Runs. He reveled in riding his motorcycle under the Florida sun, watching space launches, listening to live music, and enjoying the beach – all reasons he made Florida his home. Dennis truly lived life to the fullest.
In addition to his mother, Sandra L. Jones (DeGeorge), he is survived by his former wife, Sandra R. Jones; six children, Domenick A., Ashlyn C., Andrew M., Jacob C., Kate A., and Joshua N. Jones; three step-children, Heather Pringle (Justin), Rachael Gonzalez (Peter), Lauren Law; sisters, Marie Heslop (Kevin), Linda Scott, Carrie Payne, surviving partner of Warren Jones, Jr.; and his companion, Michele Hixon; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Warren R. Jones, Sr.; infant sister; brother, Warren "Sammy" Jones, Jr.; brother-in-law, Brian Scott; grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many cherished loved ones.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fallen Riders Memorial Fund – Pennsylvania, PO Box 9444, Erie, PA 16505 or a charity of your choice.
