Dennis James Kenny's Obituary
Dennis James Kenny, age 71, passed away on December 20, 2023 in Palm Coast, Fl. He was
born on October 14, 1952 in New York City, New York to the late Clara Chapman and Michael
Kenny.
Dennis was an expert chef who always felt you had to plan for meals for at least 50 persons, even
when there were only a few people in attendance, since leftovers was a key aspect of any meal.
He even created his own brand of trail mix with his personalized label on it that was enjoyed by
people around the world.
He loved camping and fishing and natural beauty, even if later in life circumstances prevented
him from enjoying those activities. He liked to draw, put together miniature military ships, and
generally put things together and take them apart. He was adamant about planning for disasters,
often sending family members extra lights, flares, crank radios, flashlights, batteries and other
items that would keep them afloat. He served in the marines and worked diligently at the U.S.
Post office for decades. He was a gentle soul, and his quiet manner and best chili on the planet
will be missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Chelese Kenny of California, and siblings Michael Kenny of
North Carolina, Kevin Kenny of California, Mary Kenny of Connecticut, Susan Kenny of South
Carolina, John Kenny of Florida and Patrica Centrella of New Jersey.
A memorial celebration of his life will be determined at a later date.
