Donald Baiga
Donald Baiga was born on August 24, 1944 in Perth Amboy, NJ to the late Joseph and Florence Baiga, maiden name Kairait. Donald passed away on October 1, 2012 in Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL at the young age of 68 years, 1 month, and 8 days with his wife & daughter by his side.
Donald was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Bay of Pigs Invasion. He moved to Florida in 2001 coming from New Jersey. During his time in New Jersey, Donald retired from Pathmark Supermarkets in Hopelawn, NJ. Donald was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Perth Amboy. He will be remembered by his family & friends as being a "Very Strong Willed Man", with a "Heart of Gold". Don was a fun loving man with a great sense of humor and he brought joy & laughter to many people, Donald will also be remembered by his children as being the "Greatest Father in the World" and a "Blessing from God". To his wife and childhood sweetheart "He is the Love of my Life".
Donald enjoyed the beach, fishing, crabbing, going to the dog track with his daughter, playing cards with his family, especially 500 Rummy. He was a Coors Light Man :) who enjoyed watching NASCAR while rooting for his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Baiga and his sister, Elaine Baiga.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Rose Marie Baiga, his son, Donald Baiga Jr., and his daughter, Rosemary Baiga both of Palm Coast, FL. His niece Jill Baiga of Fl., Gail Harkins of NJ & Keith Baiga of Deland, Fl.
Rosemary would like everyone to know that "Our family appreciates your thoughts & prayers. We are having a difficult time moving forward from our tremendous loss" Please be patient, as we will be holding a Memorial in the near future, at which time family & friends will be notified.
