Donald R Langdon's Obituary
Donald Langdon, 70, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, October 20, 2021.
Don was born in 1951 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Don’s older brother, Jimmy, was a Marine who was killed in the Vietnam War, which motivated Don to join the Marines. Don served for thirty years, and was honorably discharged after rising to Master Sergeant, receiving many accolades, including the Humanitarian Service Medal. Don was married to the love of his life, Annie, on Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina. Of the many military awards and honors Don received, he was most proud of his title of “grandfather.”
Don is survived by his loving wife, Anne, as well as his daughters Patty and Heidi, grandchildren Evyn, Eli, Emma, Jesse, Ashley, Abby, Ben, and Jake, and great-grandson Rowan. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ellen, and his brother, Jimmy. Don is memorialized within his grandchildren as a pillar of an example of a loving and respectful spouse and grandfather.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the kind and loving care of AdventHealth Hospice. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, or local food banks in his honor.
