There are just some people in this world that could make you smile without saying a word. Donnel was just one of those magical souls. If you didn't know him, you would never know what's he's been through in his life. The things I will always cherish are the small chats, his infectious laugh, the way his eyes lit up whenever he found something to be so interesting. I will miss his genuine incredible storytelling, and of course his great sense of humor.
Donnel truly embodied what it meant to be a one-of-a-kind amazing human being. He will always be remembered not for all the trials and tribulations he went through, but the joy, the curiosity, the happiness that came with that angelic smile. It’s remarkable what he was able to share with all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him, befriending him, or meeting him even if just for a few minutes. He was a gift to us, a light that will always shine in my heart and a spirit that I will dearly miss.
I hope his spirit will continue to live on through his family and friends. Truthfully, even in this period of grief, just thinking of him or seeing his photo still brings a smile to my face. Rest in peace, my cousin. You will always be an inspiration to me.
