Doris Ganell Shaw, of Palm Coast, FL was born on September 29, 1928 in Utica, Ohio to the late Ora Owen and Mabel Jane Reidling nee McClure.She married Herbert L. Shaw in 1947 who preceeded her in death. She passed away on December 10, 2012 at her residence in Palm Coast at the age of 84 years.
She was a 1946 graduate of Fostoria High School and she worked as a Supervisor for the Ohio Public Employment Services retiring in 1988. She moved to Palm Coast, FL in 1999, coming from Fostoria, OH.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Leann Mack and husband Shawn of Palm Coast, FL. Daughter, Michele Long and husband Rod of Fostoria, OH. Son, Mark Shaw and wife Dea of Fostoria, OH. Brother, Eugene Reidling of Canton, OH. Nine grandchildren Kristin Shaw, Matthew Shaw, Sunday Shaw, Dara Mezger, Alexandra Shaw, Allie Shaw, and Amber Shaw all in Ohio, Taylor Mack and Tristan Mack, Palm Coast, FL who helped their parents care for their grandmother. Also ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Shaw, son, Daryl Shaw, Three brothers, Sylvan, Harold, and Paul, sister Lillian and a grandaughter Rachel.
All arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service, Port Orange, FL.
