Doris M Jacobs' Obituary
On Sunday December 6, 2020 Doris Jacobs, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away at the age of 90.
Doris was born Doris Mae Josephine Berger on June 2, 1930 in Chicago Illinois to Albert and Caroline Guedel Berger. She married Irving "Jake" Jacobs in 1948. Together they raised three loving children, Clifford, Randall, and Debra.
Doris enjoyed singing in the choir especially her church choir at Shepard of the Hill in Lockport Ill and the neighborhood choir in Gilbert, Az. She enjoyed making Christmas cookies to share with family and friends. Planting a flower and a vegetable garden was a favorite pastime. Her love of painting became her favorite hobby in retirement years and her talent showed in her beautiful paintings. She was a loving cheerleader for her children and grandchildren, giving advice and encouragement.
Doris was preceded in death by her father Albert Berger, mother Caroline Berger, daughter Debra Seum, husband Irving Jacobs, her brother Donald Berger, and her grandson Steven Seum.
She is survived by her sons Clifford(Mary) Jacobs, Randall (Elizabeth) Jacobs, son in law Thomas Seum, brother Gerald (Joann) Berger, 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Doris to St. Jude's Hospital or Shriners Hospital for children.
