Doris Ann Satterfield's Obituary
Doris Ann Satterfield, 74, passed away on November 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with dementia. Doris was born on July 17, 1951, in Marlette, Michigan, to the late Arthur and Catherine Zeilinger.
Doris was always so full of energy. She was a loving, generous, and a kind spirited woman who welcomed everyone with open arms. She had a remarkable ability to brighten the lives of those around her, offering help, comfort, and joy wherever she went. She cherished time with her family and friends, and if you ever had the honor in meeting Doris, you gained a lifelong friend.
One of Doris’s greatest joys was the beach. She loved the sound of the waves, the warmth of the sun, and the peace she found by the water. It was her happy place, and it reflected the gentle spirit she carried throughout her life.
Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Satterfield II. She is survived by her children Shawn (Lorri) Beltz, Blake Beltz, and Derek Beltz; Stepson James (Sally) Satterfield, her grandchildren Darwin (Gianna) Beltz, Haze Beltz, Oliver Beltz, Amelia Beltz, Anna Satterfield, and Bradley Satterfield; her great-granddaughter Eleanor Beltz; her sister Mary Catherine Harrison; and her brother William Zeilinger.
In honor of Doris’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Doris Satterfield’s name to organizations supporting dementia and Alzheimer’s awareness.
“May the waves of remembrance always bring her back to us, gently and endlessly.”
