Doris Ann Wainwright's Obituary
Doris Ann Wainwright (née Smith), born July 8, 1945, in Hazard, Kentucky, passed away on December 30, 2025.
Doris built her life and raised her family in Waterford, Michigan, where her love and presence shaped the Wainwright family. Known for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, she brought warmth, connection, and joy to everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Smith and Virgie Robertson.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wainwright; her children Kimberly Wainwright (Deborah Van Nieulande), Tammy Tarket (Larry Tarket), and Kenneth Wainwright (Emily Wainwright); her grandchildren David Wainwright, Sierra Olsen, Quinton Wainwright, Megan Johnston, Maddison Tarket, John Divico, and Elise Divico; and her great-grandchildren Jessie Thompson, Beckett Thompson, and Levi Johnston.
Above all, Doris will be remembered for her playful spirit and love of her family. Her personality filled every room, and her home was always a place of welcome—where family stopped by often, gatherings were frequent, and everyone felt loved. She was an incredibly fun and deeply loving person whose presence created lasting memories that will be cherished for generations.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service, 4601 E. Moody Blvd., Suite G-7, Bunnell, FL 32110.
