Dorothy Sager Lanternier's Obituary
Dorothy Ann Sager Lanternier
March 10, 1931 - April 17, 2014
Dorothy Ann Sager Lanternier was born in Buffalo, NY to the late Laura Rose Sager Himmelsbach and Floyd Benjamin Sager. She passed away in Winter Springs, FL at the age of 83 years.
Moving to Daytona Beach in the early 1950s, Dorothy and her husband had ice cream trucks on the World’s Most Famous Beach. Later she worked as a clerk for a local judge before starting a family and working in their family business. Dorothy played the organ at church services for many years. Her love of worship music continued throughout her long life and she loved the Lord with all her heart. However, if you asked her what she was most proud of, it was being a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her brother Donald Lee Sager. She is survived by Richard Lanternier and her two daughters Lori Lanternier Sharlow of Port Orange, FL and Bonnie Riconda Lanternier (Daniel Riconda) of Orlando, FL. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Jason Sharlow, Gabriel Sharlow, Caitlyn Blasi, Destin Sharlow, Eryn Riconda, and Ethan Riconda and two great grandchildren Kylea Sharlow and Aeden Blasi.
Her family wants to thank all the caring staff at Arden Courts of Winter Springs and Vitas Hospice.
