Dorothy Eleanor "Dottie" Braksator (née Davis), aged 81, passed away on June 24, 2024, in Palm Coast, FL. Born on March 8, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA, Dottie was a beloved figure in her community and a beacon of joy to all who knew her.
Dottie graduated from Philadelphia High School for Girls and furthered her education at Pearce Junior College. She dedicated much of her career to nurturing young minds as the Program Director at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Preschool in Vienna, VA, where she was also an active member.
Known for her vibrant personality, Dottie was a fun-loving social butterfly who enjoyed connecting with people. Her hobbies included solving crossword puzzles and playing golf, activities that she pursued with passion and joy.
Dottie is survived by her husband, Richard R. Braksator, her daughter, Laura E. Braksator, and her son, Andrew R. Braksator. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert F. and Dorothy E. Davis.
Dottie's life was a testament to her unwavering kindness and her ability to make every person she met feel special. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
