Douglas Dale Kinsey
Douglas Dale Kinsey, Sr., 79, of Port Orange, peacefully passed away on September 6, 2012 at his residence. He was born on March 21, 1933 in Pinetta, Florida, son of the late Ernest W. and Adelia Kinsey Gregol nee Donnally.
He grew up in the Jacksonville area and graduated from Lee High School in 1951. He relocated to central Florida in the mid 60’s and became a Tool and Die Maker. After his retirement in 2000 he turned his metal working talents into wood working and their home has many of the beautiful items he designed and made.
In his early years he was a member of the Daytona 200 Motorcycle Club and thoroughly enjoyed the many miles he put on his various motorcycles. Dale bowled at all of the area bowling alleys on various leagues and met and enjoyed many of his friends there. In his retirement years they enjoyed traveling and visited many beautiful places here and abroad.
He is survived by his loving partner Connie Kinsey Baker of Port Orange, his son Douglas D. Kinsey, Jr. of Valrico, FL, his two granddaughters Kimberly and Katy, his four great-grandchildren, his sisters, Mary Jean Bardole, Ernestine Donovan (Jim), and Jeanette Spradley all of the Jacksonville area, his sister-in-law Bobbie Trevarthen of New Smyrna Beach, FL and his extended family, Michele, Don, Matt, Nikki, Jacob, Jax, Anthony, Kayla, Dan, and Bryson.
A Celebration of his life will be held at the Halifax Health Hospice Chapel in Port Orange, FL at a later date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers his family requests your donations be made to the wonderful Angels at the Halifax Health Hospice, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129, who were so special in providing care for Dale.
All services are under the direction of Heritage Cremation and Memorial Chapel, Port Orange, FL.
