Douglas Joseph Schell's Obituary
Douglas Joseph Schell, 73, passed away in Palm Coast, FL on March 25, 2024 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Doug was born on September 12, 1950 in Denver, CO to Rose Mary Dreher and Joseph Schell. He married Jeanine Meranda on August 24, 2013 in Denver, CO.
Doug served in the Army from 1968 until 1971 serving with the 82 nd Airborne.
For almost 50 years, he worked as a Traveling Construction Superintendent which he loved. He focused on hotels, and most recently an Amazon warehouse among numerous other Commercial projects across the United States.
Doug had many passions in life. He loved traveling, the beach, racing, skydiving, muscle cars, hunting, fishing and would try just about anything given the opportunity. He never met a stranger, everyone he met became a friend or better yet, family by choice.
He is preceded in death by his Parents Rose Mary Dreher and Joseph Schell; Step-Father Albert Dreher; Sister Judy Thomas; Brothers Larry Schell and Albert Dreher, Jr.
He is survived by his Wife, Jeanine Schell; Brother Dale (Debbie) Schell; Daughters Casey (Joey) Bouman, Michelle (Noah) Bauer; Grandchildren Connor and Liam Bouman; Adianna, Bryce and Parker Bauer; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life this summer.
