We met Duane and Janice after working closely with their remarkable daughter, Janine, in Faith Formation with middle schoolers, and we were able to see where Janine received her love of God and family! Duane was an authentic gentleman, who stoically, unflinchingly stood for the sanctity of life in all forms - from the family, to the Unborn, to those in need of protection and sustenance. As a Quiet leader, he naturally projected a peaceful presence and upon seeing him, we would realize, "Duane's here! Everything's going to be all right!" and it always was and will be through his spirit! God bless the Family,

Duane was a kind and generous man with a sense of humor. We would have a yard sale and by noon Duane would say, "What if I donate $300 and you call St. Vincent DePaul to come and haul away this junk". He was an idea guy. He always had a new idea or a different way of doing things. He also was very calming, keeping me out of trouble when I'd get upset about something. Always upbeat and devoted to his Catholic Faith and the Pro-Life Movement, Duane was a good friend and great husband, dad and Grandpa. He will be surely missd. Jim Thoma
