Edna Dorothy Brown
Edna Dorothy Brown was born on April 2, 1933 in York, Pennsylvania to the late George and Catherine Miller nee Whitmeyer. She passed away following a hard fought battle with cancer at the age of 79 years, 5 months, and 19 days.
Edna graduated from York High School and was a retired homemaker and a baker. Edna was a life long resident of Pennsylvania before relocating to Florida in 2007 to live with her daughter and her family.
She enjoyed her family most, especially her beloved and only grandchild Mason. As " Nan", she had a beautiful and profound relationship with him and had an active role in raising Mason. She was a wonderful Grandmother and was very proud of his academic accomplishments. She also held a special place in her heart for her nieces and their families. One of her favorite roles in life was that of being Aunt Edna. She also cherished her memories of traveling to Florida each year on vacation.
Edna was preceded in death by her spouses, Robert "Bob" Brown (2003) and Charles "Charlie" Myers (1970). She was a devoted wife and a loving caretaker to both. Edna will be sadly missed by her family, especially her only child and best friend, Diane. They had a very close relationship and bond.
Those left to cherish memories of a caring Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt is her daughter, Diane M. Myers Miller along with partner and family friend, Gregory S Jones of Palm Coast, FL. Her grandson, Mason C. Miller and wife Stephanie of Palm Coast, FL. Sister, Sylvia Bupp of York, PA. Additionally, her favorite nieces Cathy "Cookie" Sipe and husband Perry of Dover, PA, Janie Sipe and husband Richard of New Oxford, PA, Susan "Susie" Trimmer and husband Richard of East Berlin, PA and all of their families.
