Edna Idella Valentino's Obituary
Edna Valentino, 79, passed away on March 24, 2024 at her home in Bunnell, Fl.
She was born on November 29, 1944 in Lakeland, Fl. After having lived in Pennsylvania and
California for a number of years, she returned to Florida in 1989 and lived in Flagler County for the
remainder of her life.
She worked at the Flagler Beach Winn-Dixie for many years, running the photo lab until it shut down
in 2006. She then took over the floral department and ran it until she was forced to retire in 2014
following a stroke.
She had an avid interest in photography, both as a hobby and profession. In addition to her work at
Winn-Dixie, she often assisted her son with his small photography business, Valentino's Photography,
serving as the posing expert during portrait shoots and performing public relations duties.
Prior to her stroke, she also practiced cake decorating and was known for the spectacular cake designs
that she created for family and school events.
After her retirement she spent much of her time at home with her dogs and cats, occasionally
accompanying her son on his photo shoots around the county and often visiting the Flagler Senior
Center to enjoy a group meal and reminisce with her fellow seniors.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent Valentino.
She is survived by her son, James Valentino.
