Eleanor D. Faulhaber's Obituary
Eleanor D. Faulhaber
Eleanor D. Faulhaber, of Palm Coast, FL was born on August 4, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA to the late George J. and Illona (Ella) Kolsun nee Nemitz. She passed away on January 29, 2013 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast, FL at the age of 77 years.
Eleanor graduated from Temple University. She went on to work in Center City, Philadelphia. This “Center of Philly” city job was a time she loved and spoke of often. After marrying and becoming a mother she devoted her life to being a mom and teaching the essence of love. After raising her daughters she returned to work for several years. Most recently due to her organizational skills she was offered a job from her accountant and was considering the offer.
She had many interests; she enjoyed traveling, bowling, ceramics, being a classroom mom and girl scout leader, playing and learning the piano, bird watching, cooking special dishes, decorating for holidays and making Christmas cookies. She enjoyed museums, sewing, computers, shopping with Lisa, music, books, learning, searching and finding answers. She was passionate and actively involved in working on animal rights issues and issues involving the environment. Eleanor owned several of the luckiest dogs to ever live.
As “daddy’s little girl” her deceased father George never left her thoughts. They shared strong spiritual beliefs with one and other. Eleanor received great comfort praying to saints and attending church.
Eleanor and her husband continually traveled the world throughout her life. They also enjoyed several years boating together aboard The Blue Dolphin I, II, III, and IV.
Throughout Eleanor’s her life she had a few cherished friends. In her final years Eleanor enjoyed piano lessons and discovered her passion for art. With the help and love of friends she became a magnificent artist. She worked slowly and meticulously on all of her masterpieces.
Her true legacy is the one she leaves for her family. Search for wisdom. Smile. LOVE.
A quote hanging in her office – “A Family is Nature’s Masterpiece”
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Paul Faulhaber of Palm Coast, FL. Two daughters, Teri Inverso and husband Neil, and Lisa Cuffari, both of Richboro, PA. Two brothers, George Kolsun and wife Eleanor of Pittsburgh, PA, and Edward Kolsun of Chestertown, MD. Four grandchildren, Gino, Vinny, Gema, and Anthony. Nephews, Joby, Tom, and David; nieces, Diane and Debbie (“the kissing cousins”), and her dog, Pumpkin.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her niece, Kathleen and sister-in-law, Sue Kolsun.
A celebration of Eleanor’s life will take place with a Mass on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Richboro, PA, with visitation from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am Mass. Details regarding a separate service for friends in FL are being planned.
