Elenore King's Obituary
Elenore (“Miss Ellie”) King passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026 with her family at her side and under the care of Vitas Hospice.
Elenore was born in Milwaukee, WI in 1933 to Maryanna and Joseph Pskiet. She was the youngest of eight children. In 1953, Elenore married Alfred King and they enjoyed 61 happy years together before his passing. Her fondest memories were of spending time with her sisters – they would speak Polish amongst themselves in order to have their own private conversations when others were around. Elenore loved the holiday family gatherings that always included lots of good food and fun times. She gathered many friends during her working years at Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee, WI and Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach, FL and loved their get-togethers over the years.
The past few years, Elenore lived with and was lovingly cared for by her daughter, Susan, with the help and support of son, John. Elenore enjoyed socializing with her neighbors and was working on perfecting her “Queen Wave” to folks passing by as she was sitting on the front porch. She loved music and could often be found singing along and tapping her toes to the sounds of ELO, The Eagles and other Classic Rock & Roll artists as well as the classic crooners such as Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra. Elenore was a life-long Green Bay Packers fan and could be heard cheering (or yelling!) at her team on Sunday afternoons. She had a great sense of humor and often was quick with a snappy comeback. Elenore was always welcoming to all – she never hesitated to help out anyone in need.
Elenore is survived by her children; Mary Giusto, Susan King and John King; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou King, grandchildren Tracy King (Jason Steele), Vinnie Giusto, Jr. (Brittany), Joey Giusto and Dillion Hansen (Karen). She is further survived by great-grandchildren, Harrison and James Giusto and Ryan and Julia Hansen. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews, and grand-dogs, Otis, Coco and Spencer.
Elenore was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alfred (“Al”), son, Richard (“Rick”), brothers, Tony, Joe, Stanley and Walter; sisters, Irene, Alice, and Helen and their respective spouses and several nieces and nephews.
Our family would like to express our deepest appreciation for the care and support of Vitas Hospice over the past several months, especially Galina, RN and Chaplain Ed. Your caring and compassion are forever treasured. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to all the family, friends and neighbors who provided an outpouring of love, hugs and support during our journey.
Per Elenore’s request no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree in her memory as she so enjoyed trips to the local parks and spending time in nature and among the trees. A remembrance gathering is being planned for early September for friends and family.
