Elizabeth J. Morse
Elizabeth J. Morse of Palm Coast, FL, was born on June 29, 1918 in Dunmore, PA, to the late Smith Morse and Carma Morse nee Altimari. She passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at home surrounded by her love ones, at the age of 94 years.
She was raised in Bathurst, New Brunswick and trained as a neo-natal nurse in Toronto, Canada. She worked in private duty before moving to Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, NY, where she worked for almost 30 years. She retired to NH, FL, NH, and finally to her beautiful golden pond here in Palm Coast, FL, for the last 10 years of her life.
She enjoyed the beach, gardening, cooking, entertaining, and being surrounded by her family and friends.
Elizabeth is survived by her nephew, Curt McCauley and wife Rosine of Palm Coast, FL; grand nephews, Stephen Klinker of Palm Coast, FL, and Jamie Wiechers of Brattleboro, VT; and grand nieces, Tori and Jenny Wiechers.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Carol Gruber and her daughters, along with Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler for providing her with love and care in her last days.
