Emily D. Hofer's Obituary
Emily Danielle Hofer, 37, passed away on March 22, 2017 in Palm Coast, FL. She was a life-long resident of Flagler County and was born in St. Augustine. She graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School with the class of 1998 and remained friends with many of the classmates with whom she started kindergarten. She was an avid reader, who along with her mother and brother, loved The Harry Potter Series, and, in fact, she named her three puppies after characters from the books.
An honor student who excelled at mathematics, she also covered home plate as catcher on the soft ball team, and you didn’t want to challenge her in Euchre. The flip side of her competitive streak was her warm, kind heart, and her quick sense of humor never failed to light up a room with bright smiles and laughter. Her generosity brightened the lives of family and friends, and the customers she served over the year, would say she never met a stranger.
She will be deeply missed by her mother, Patricia (Dolly), her father Bill, and her brother, Will. She also leaves behind her long time partner, Michael Norwood, to care for their puppies and the memories they shared. In addition, she leaves an extensive family of cousins, aunts, uncles and her grandmother, Janet. She leaves a space that can never be filled.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, March 26th at 1:00 PM, Betty Steflik Park Flagler Beach. Bring your own photos, memories, stories; and B.Y.O.B.
